... Individual Case Study....x

... KiDULTHOOD ...

KiDULTHOOD is a 2006 British drama film about the life of several teenagers in the deprived Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road area of Inner West London.

Teenage multicultural in London has never been brought to life so vividly, though, and for that alone this is a film that merits the attention of both kids and adults.

Sound ---> The Sound is an up tempo beat which can also be refferd to as grime music. As the sound is up tempo it engages the audience to watch the whole trailer making them want to watch the film.

Language ---> As the Films audience is based at young people, the language used in the trailer is mostly slang and ghetto quotes. This is how most young people talk today.

Camera Shots ---> Various amounts of different camera shots are used throughout the trailer. E.g: A Close up shot on a person, will show the audience the characters expressions and make the audience feel what that person is feeling.

Lighting ---> Dark and dim colours for shots such as drugs, violoence or anything negative throughout the trailer.
The lighting lets the audience feel the negative and postive things going on throughout the trailer.

Length of Trailer ---> The length of the trailer is 2:05
which is fairly reasonable as most trailers are 3-4 minutes long.

Setting ---> It was set in the deprived Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road area of Inner West London.

... Media Awards!...x

The media Awards was a very brilliant night, the movies made were very overwhelming and inspiraional. I believe that by attending this awards, it will inspire me to make such a such as good quality movie as the ones made.

The 3 best films that were showed i think were:

1) A Rappers Ambition.

I Liked this film trailer as it showed the differnt experiences young boys go through in todays life.
A Rappers Ambition was based on the struggling desire of a rapper from a working class background, trying to succeed in the world of music. My reason for enjoyin this film the most, is beacause as a person who wants to also follow thier dream in music, i believe thsi was a perfect movie of inspiration for me to prove anything can happen.

2) Street Crime

I Also enjoyed Street crime as it shows what teengaers go through creating widespread fear. Another reason i enjoyed this film, is because it shows young teenagers today just how dangerous gangs are and that street crime is becoming more and more dangerous in recent years. This was good to show at the media awards as it was an ispiration to all young people who take themselves as being in a gang.

3) Silent Pain

I Think this film was such an inspirational movie and actually had a good meaning. Silent pain was a documentary that gives the audience an idea about the issue of rape within a marrige. This film could educate numbers of people and show society how victims have suffered and coped with this issue, this was a magnificent film and should have desevred to win the overall award as it was a good way to educate young people abou everyday life people may be suffering.

.... Internet Regulation.....x

I think firstly, being able to access ideas from all over the world will become a huge problem.

The reason this will be a huge problem is because some people may disagree with each others views.

Publishing images and words may also be a big problem as people may disturbed by certain images and words ad find them disrespectful.

The public can easily gain information on people, no matter how private the information is.

e.g - where someone lives, how old they are, names etc.

Also another example of this is facebook. As most teenagers have facebook, by an older person looking through their profiles could cause much disruption as this is seen as Pedophilia.

I personally think a new organisation should be made so that they can look into things that are posted on the internet, so that any information that will disrespect peoples views and cause harm to anyone cannot be posted. e.g if a blog is published with views on someone they dont liked - the organisation could stop this before someone gets hurt. In addition another way could be by puttting blocks on certain sites.
